Bacon Bacon Bacon
My favorite YouTube comment so far, "HOGWASH," which just about sums it up. Scope had the guts to poke fun at themselves this week releasing their newest product "Scope Bacon Mouthwash," and after a good amount of media discussing the deliciousness or grossness of the product, they just fessed up to the April Fools joke a few minutes ago. I'm hoping Andy Kaufman is smiling down on us now.
Cooking
I've been super busy cooking up something new (I mean that literally), and looking forward to posting soon. I promise it will be delicious.
Young Director Award
Lyndy Stout was kind enough to interview me for the site Young Director Award. Features a behind the scenes from the Scion AV- Zombie Nation music video as well. "His films and music videos are seriously wacky, totally weird and rather wonderful." That opening line made me blush. Thanks Lyndy.

Thumbjaw boogies down
Eh... even bandwagons can be fun to ride on sometimes, especially when they are blasting music that is so booty bumping good. Here's the Thumbjaw family doing their own Harlem Shake.
IMVDB
The fine folks at IMVDB did a behind the scenes interview on the Zombie Nation music video. Enjoy!

MISC Magazine
If you like Nilla Wafer marshmallow sandwiches (and some talk about video stuff), then you'll enjoy my interview in the Style issue of MISC Magazine, out this month.

Zombie Nation – Level
When Scion A/V approached me to do a music video for Zombie Nation, I asked if we could do a concept with musical body parts. They said yes, I rejoiced, and we made this.
ADC Young Guns X
I have a happiness hangover... last night I was awarded as one of this year's ADC Young Guns X!
To plagiarize their website, it's a "global, cross-disciplinary portfolio competition that identifies today's vanguard of young creative professionals." I submitted commercials, music videos, docs, and passion projects that I've directed. Only 34 of us received one this year, so it's an honor to be part of the group. Was a fun night meeting the other winners, eating free tacos, checking out the great work in the gallery, and watching the guy who was salsa/breakdance/popping/waltzing all night. Yes, a perfect evening.
NYC Indie Film Festival
Gramatik "Solidified" screens today at the NYC Independent Film Festival. Let the goblin invasion begin again (just in time for Halloween).

Vimeo
Met up with the fine folks at Vimeo HQ last week. We talked about videos and finished off with laser guns. Good times!

Christina Perri in Paris
Christina Perri performed in Paris, and I snapped a few pics of the show. This one she posted on her instagram and called it "Screaming in Paris."
